SOME SERVICES ARE SUSPENDED AT PRESENT DUE TO THE CORONAVIRUS PANDEMIC
Chronic Disease Management Clinic
This incorporates heart disease, diabetes, hypertension, strokes/mini-strokes, asthma, emphysema, mental health, dementia and epilepsy. The clinic involves monitoring of these conditions, assessment of risk factors, tests and review of medications. It is run by the practice nurses with the doctors available if needed.
Well Person Clinic
The clinic run by the practice nurse and Healthcare assistants and is for both men and women. It consists of discussions of general health and lifestyle and advice as appropriate. Specific advice is given regarding general and travel immunisation and cervical smears for women. Checks are made of blood pressure, weight and urine tests.
Ante-Natal Clinic
The midwives are not working from the practice at present but contact patients directly following a referral from us. You will be seen at regular intervals during your pregnancy.
Phlebotomy Clinic
Blood tests are done at The Lyng Health Centre in West Bromwich, Sandwell Hospital or Tower Hill Health Centre.
An electronic request will be generated by the practice then the patient can call 0121 507 6104 to make an appointment at a place of their choice.
Family Planning Clinic
The practice nurses and doctors run this clinic where a full range of services and advice about family planning is offered. Contraceptive advice is also available for teenagers. Our practice is part of the Sandwell Young People Welcome scheme.
Immunisation Clinic 
The clinic is run for children in order to undertake a full programme of immunisations. The doctors and practice nurses run this clinic.
Cervical Smear Appointments
All women aged from 24½ - 64 years should attend regularly for cervical smears. The practice nurse run this clinic. Ask at reception for further details.
Flu, Pneumonia & Shingles Vaccines
Yearly flu injection is advised for all patients above the age of 65 and for anybody who has a long term condition, pregnant or is a carer. A pneumonia injection is also advised for people above 65 years of age and for people with chronic diseases. A shingles vaccine is now available for patients aged 70 or 79. Please ask at reception for further details.
Travel Vaccinations
We are not giving travel vaccinations at present. These are available from Travel Health Clinics or certain Pharmacies hold a travel clinic.
Ear Syringing
This service is not being done at present due to covid. Usually carried out by a HCA or practice nurse. Please ask at reception for alternative services.
Smoking Cessation
Run by the practice nurses who will give advice on how to stop smoking. Ask at reception for further details or at your local pharmacy.
Minor Surgery 
Some minor surgical procedures are undertaken in the surgery by the doctors including injections of painful joints and cauterisation. Ask at reception for further details.
24 Hour Blood Pressure Monitoring
Performed by a practice nurse or HCA following referral by a GP.
ECG are not performed by the practice at present. We do hope to have this service available soon but in the meantime if this is required, a referral to the hospital will be done.
